SBGLL Organization

The new home of girls softball for the South Beaverton community!

In the Fall of 2014, South Beaverton Girls Little League (SBGLL) was created through a merger of girls softball programs from Raleigh Hills Little League (RHLL) and Beaverton Aloha Little League (BALL). Under the guidance of a new SBGLL Board and many contributing volunteers, SBGLL was sucessfully chartered by Little League International and incorporated as an Oregon non-profit corporation. In 2016 MHLL softball players and volunteers joined SBGLL.

SBGLL offers softball programs for girls in the spring and fall seasons, and is run entirely by volunteers and funded through player registration fees, family donations, and individual and corporate sponsorships. Fee schedules each year are based on projected budget expenses for the league year. It is Little League and SBGLL policy that no child be turned away due to financial considerations.

Girls ages 4-14 years old are eligible to participate in our programs, which are offered to families residing within the Beaverton School District boundaries of Raleigh Park, Raleigh Hills, Montclair, McKay, Vose, Greenway, Fir Grove, Nancy Ryles, HIteon, Scholls Heights, Sextob Mountain, Kinnaman, Hazeldale, Errol Hassell, Cooper Mountain, Chehalem, Beaver Acres and Aloha-Huber Park (if you attend Middle School or High School, revert to your Elementary School for boundary) even if the players do not attend those schools. Girls may also register for a little league in which their school is located. If you are new to SBGLL, we encourage you to confirm that your family resides within our boundaries.

The regular season runs from April through June with practices beginning in March, or early April for the younger levels. Post-season play begins in mid-June and generally continues into early July at most levels, and mid-July for the 11-12 all-star team. All practices are held at local schools and games are played there and, at older levels, at Alpenrose and fields hosted by our neighboring Interlock partners. Games are also played within the footprint of the District 4 leagues, which include Lake Oswego to the east out to Hillsboro in the west.

Building on the traditions of Raleigh Hills, Murrayhill and Beaverton Area Little Leagues, SBGLL looks to create a proud and successful program of providing a community-based youth softball program for children in our community. Adult alums are sprinkled throughout our community, including on our current board. The success of our program over the years has been the direct result of the dedication and support of the parents, volunteers, sponsors and members of the community.
